Sony's latest PlayStation spot documents the sheer variation and scope of its streaming service by airdropping a host of game characters from the sky Fortnite-style.

Adam&EveDDB's debut PlayStation ad scatters gaming favourites from the heavens

Adam&EveDDB's latest work for the Japanese gaming giant is looking to entice gamers into its gaming subscription offering, an increasingly popular product in the world of Netflix and soon Google Stadia.

The global campaign looks to highlight the 800-plus games on PlayStation Now service.

Eagle-eyed viewers may spot Kratos, Scorpion and Nathan Drake among the mix of skydivers.

Threading the creative together, PlayStation Now is unveiled as the power that has summoned a pantheon of top gaming characters from the heavens.

“PlayStation Now is the first work to break in our new partnership with Eric [Lempel] and the team at PlayStation,” said Matthew Goff, chief executive of Adam&EveDDB. “We have been working together on a number of projects across the summer and are excited to see them land with the gaming community over the next few months.”

The service costs £8.99 a month. It is available in 19 global territories - around 70% of the PS4 user base.

Adam&EveDDB won the account from BBH in May.
