In this roundtable episode of This Is My YouTube, presenter Russell Kane talks to Vogue’s Sinead Burke, broadcaster Tina Daheley and Radio 1 DJ Gemma Cairney about how the platform helps to elevate the world of fashion.

The panelists discuss how YouTube provides them with a constant source of inspiration, "If I’m going to an event I will search the site for inspiration" says Daheley. They also emphasise the importance of the site as a tool for education, one of Cairney's choices is a video by popular high-street brand Monki that offers tips on how shoppers can be more eco-friendly.

Sinead Burke also stresses how important YouTube was for her when it came to accessing fashion as a young person. She talks about how the 2013 Burberry Prorsum runway show was the first to be live-streamed on the platform, and what that meant to her. "At the time I never dreamed that I would get to be one of those people who would sit in the space where a fashion show was taking place, never mind front row" she says. "The internet became this space where fashion accepted me even if it didn’t know I existed because I’m disabled.”

The first series of This Is My YouTube also includes a round-table episode based around football, and has interviews with comedian and actor David Walliams and DJ Yoda, which will all feature on The Drum.
