Fetch Media, Future Platforms & Atomic snap up top accolades at The Drum Mobile Awards 2019

The results were unveiled at a ceremony in London's Marriot Grosvenor Square Hotel on 10 May.

For its work with online retailer, Very, Fetch Media took home the Grand Prix and Digital awards.

At the most competitive time of year for any retailer, Very used second screen technology to maximise their Christmas TV ad investment. Member of the judging panel and head of digital for The Specialist Work, Laricea Roman said: "Despite the intense competition in the Digital category, I believe that Very.co.uk and Fetch Media entry was by far the most complex, intricate and cleverest digital campaign.

"It didn't only capitalise on a plethora of digital technologies such as audio, geo-location and second screening, but also delivered an exceptional integrated strategy that supported so efficiently the TV ad during the busiest time of the year. I wish I could see more integrated campaigns, especially ones that put mobile at their heart."

Another top win came from Atomic London and their work for Peperami.

In 2018, Peperami partnered with Thorpe Park and Alton Towers to create an integrated campaign offering 2-for-1 entry to their parks. To help the campaign catch fire online, Atomic created a new mobile tool called the Wuss-ometer, inviting friends to scare each other with specially-created ‘screamer’ videos.

Amanda Farmer, managing partner, VMLY&R and judge said: "I was impressed with how Atomic London tapped into existing behaviour and culture to create an entertaining campaign. The work connected the brand with its audience and their friends, enabling participation in the fun instead of interrupting it.

"The agency also built in a smart promotional mechanism which allowed for very effective use of the client’s budget. An all-around thumbs up from me."

Snapping up the Most Effective App accolade is Future Platforms for Domino's Pizza. A multi-part GPS solution, the Domino's driver app and dashboard improved efficiency, productivity, customer satisfaction, and business-wide operating costs.

Judge and founder of Transmute, Tiffany St James said: "This was an outstanding entry. Not only does it provide real-time information for Domino’s, but for the first time also giving customers specific real-time information on their order is a best in class solution.

"This stand-out entry resonated most because it directly addresses a real-world need and serves the business in-store efficiency and provides a wealth of actionable, useful real-time data; better empowers and enables the drivers with the quickest routes and for the first time, the customer – giving real-time specific information on their order – an all-around winner."

Other winners include: Hylink and Brand USA for Brand Awareness; Yodel Mobile and mytaxi for Travel/Leisure, Sport and Entertainment; AnalogFolk and Walkers for Consumer/E-commerce; Adsquare and Vodaphone for Digital and Yodel Mobile for Agency of the Year.
