The Drum Recommends: Commended is highlighting The Finishing Post Design & Marketing Consultants who helped St Peter's Brewery with their new Crafted Range.

St Peter’s Brewery produce a range of award-winning bottled beers and cask ales in their Suffolk-based brewery.

We began working with St Peter’s Brewery back in 2014 when they asked us to create a new range brochure for them. Following the success of this work they briefed us on a packaging update for their iconic bottle label, which involved rationalising the colour coding and bringing the labels up to date with the latest food labelling guidelines.

We have gone on to become their main creative agency, helping them to strengthen their brand and develop a brand style throughout brochure design, packaging design, branding, point of sale, digital design and exhibition design.

This Crafted packaging design is just one of the projects we’ve worked on….


St Peter’s Brewery were launching two new Craft beer and cider products and they needed new label designs to ensure these products stood out in the busy market place for their unique flavours but also sat comfortably alongside their core range.


Using a hand-printed letterpress style font for a hand-crafted feel, we created a ‘craft beers and ciders’ roundel depicting the iconic St Peter’s raven, offset from the oval. Each label features an illustration to highlight the key ingredient along with the familiar starburst from the core range labels.


The products have been a huge success with their customers and the design critics.

The design won SILVER for Design: Packaging in the Roses Creative Awards 2017.

St Peter’s Brewery’s won the Bronze medal for Design & Packaging at the Beer Challenge Awards.
