Wieynk joined in November 2015 to lead the European revitalisation of the Publicis Worldwide business out of London after his departure from AKQA. He was also involved in the launch of transformation services provider Sapient Inside, following the acquisition of Sapient in early 2015 prior to his arrival.

He has also overseen the running of Poke, Arc, August and 82 Baker Street Productions as part of his role, while winning major client accounts such as Lastminute.com and Morrisons along the way.

It is understood that Nick Farnhill, UK chief executive will report to UK Groupe chief executive Annette King directly going forward as a result.

Wieynk said: “I am very proud to have contributed to the transformation of the Groupe and to have led the turnaround of Publicis Worldwide in the UK. Nearly four years on the Publicis UK transformation is complete and I am leaving a strong multi-disciplinary business in the very capable hands of Nick Farnhill. I wish Nick and the team every success in the future.”

Annette King, chief executive of Publicis Groupe UK, added: “Guy’s leadership has been integral to a successful transformation in the offering across Publicis UK agencies. I would like to thank Guy for his commitment and wish him all the best in his next chapter.”

Weinyk will remain in the role until the end of the year.
