The Fawnbrake Collective's founder to chair The Drum Agency Business Awards

The Fawnbrake Collective’s founder, Amelia Torode, is to chair the jury for The Drum Agency Business Awards 2018, formerly The Drum Network Awards.

These awards aim to celebrate the very best run agencies across the globe. Clients want to know the businesses they depend on for advice are well managed in their own right and this event gives you the chance to give your key back office team - who perhaps don’t normally feature in awards - the recognition they deserve.

Torode is one of the UK’s best known strategic planners and has been called a “trailblazer in the advertising industry, a brilliant strategic thinker and leader.” She’s worked at agencies in New York and London including Naked, Ogilvy Interactive, VCCP and most recently TBWA\London.

In September 2017, she launched The Fawnbrake Collective, a new operating system for brands using independent talent without agency overheads or politics.

As chair person of The Drum Agency Business Awards, Torode will lead the jury in the search for world-class agencies that will be highlighted by The Drum globally to build more belief in the industry and the talent working within it.

Torrode commented: "For years agencies have busied themselves rearranging deckchairs on their Titantic, they fretted about whether the deckchairs were 3-D printed, or hand whittled, or designed by a street artist from Hackney. 2018 is the year when everyone realised that we just needed a different kind of boat. That is why I am so excited to see new models, new approaches, new agencies and new ways of working. The Drum Agency Business Award showcase new best practise, it's about time."

The Drum Agency Business Awards 2018 are now open for entries. The deadline is Friday 24 August, make sure you download your entry pack now so that we remind the world that your teams talent extends to running a great business as well as great marketing campaigns.
