MHR, an HR and payroll solutions provider, sought the skills of creative agency Spinning Clock to help increase engagement with its brand through creating an impactful video campaign series.
The agency was tasked with conveying the beneficial power of MHR’s software and services through a video campaign on how the software enables the end user – giving them the tools to be as great as they can be.
The videos centre around defining what it means to live a ‘double life’, adding a humorous twist by featuring a Rock star payroll manager, a wrestling manager and a synchronised swimming team leader. These personas were used to demonstrate how implementing MHR’s services and solutions enables its users to be the best both in the office and in their personal life. The campaign was well received by the public, gaining over 150,000 YouTube views, 30,000 visits to their website and 3.75m impressions.
Ian Stewart, MHR’s marketing director, commented on the achievement, noting that nobody was talking about unique individuals in a people based industry: “We wanted to bring it back to the people at the heart of every organisation and celebrate their unique qualities that help to drive business success. Our aim was to go against the stereotypes – payroll doesn’t have to be boring, appraisals don’t have to be rigid, recruitment doesn’t have to be chaotic and the people who make up those roles don’t have to ‘fit a mould’.
“Spinning Clock was the best agency to partner with us on this campaign as their excitement, creativity and ability to think differently helped us to deliver our vision.”
Matt Buck, project manager at Spinning Clock, commented: “As a result of our video production, MHR has so far converted a number of major leads from the ‘Enable Your Greatness’ campaign. We have thoroughly enjoyed being part of and watching this project develop; staff from both companies have really embraced it and feature in all of the videos as extras.”
MHR and Spinning Clock are both Nottinghamshire based companies with regional and international reach. Their relationship will continue to grow as they prepare for opportunities in 2018.
