Through this partnership, Vivid Seats’ branding, links and content will be used across the website and mobile apps for all three sites. Users will be able to purchase tickets to sporting events across the US.
"We are very pleased to provide another resource for our millions of consumers to connect with the games and sports they love," said Patty Hirsch, general manager, Sports Illustrated Group, in a statement. "Vivid Seats is a terrific company with a lot of momentum and we have a common mission to serve the fans. This is a terrific partnership for us and the fans."
Fans can purchase tickets through the navigation bar on SI.com. Ticket widgets for league and team pages, as well as site integrations on Golf.com, Fansided.com and the mobile apps will be rolled out over the next month, according to the statement.
"We are happy to partner with one of the most preeminent and respected brands in sports media," said Eric Vassilatos, co-founder, Vivid Seats, in a statement. "We at Vivid Seats, together with Sports Illustrated Group, are focused on making this a fan-centric partnership by giving millions of visitors to SI.com, Fansided.com and Golf.com a seamless and convenient way to buy tickets to their favorite sporting events."
Vivid Seats adds the Sports Illustrated Group to a list of over 50 official partners in sports and entertainment, including the Chicago Bears, Big Ten Conference, Notre Dame and the Pac-12 Conference.
In February, sports powerhouse ESPN partnered with Vivid Seats as well. The partnership broke away from the relationship that ESPN and eBay’s StubHub had for all online ticket resales since 2007.
