Mick Style promoted as first chief executive for MEC Manchester

MEC Manchester has named Mick Style as chief executive with Emma Slater set to take over the day-to-day running of the agency as managing director.

Style's promotion follows 13 years as managing director, during which the agency has seen rapid expansion over the last four years which has seen it double in size.

The new role of chief executive will see Style lead the agency’s across the Northern English regions with a focus set on identifying new opportunities to drive new business and specialist services development.

With the subsequent promotion of Slater, Simon Price will also become deputy managing director, with both challenged to support Style.

Jason Dormieux, chief executive of MEC UK, said: “MEC Manchester is a Northern powerhouse in a fast-growing market. In Mick, Emma and Simon, we have a strong team that can give clients the strategic leadership that will help accelerate customers along their purchase journey.”

A number of new managing partners and promotions have also taken place them to the management board with Richard George taking on board-level responsibility for driving new-business growth for MEC Wavemaker, Josie Saville promoted to managing partner to transform agency operations and Mark Brogan, as another managing partner to lead the agency’s AV activation output.
