Bauer Media has appointed Rob Munro-Hall as group managing director of all of its UK magazine brands, following the recent announcement that the group has merged its UK magazine operations.

Munro-Hall will take responsibility for all ninety four magazine brands in the UK, which include Empire, Heat and Grazia.

Bauer’s magazine operations were formerly run separately as Bauer Media and H Bauer. The media company merged its two UK magazine divisions earlier this month under Paul Keenan’s leadership as H Bauer Publishing chief executive David Goodchild announced his departure after 23 years.

Bauer Media said combining its magazine media brands into one new business means it can “quickly and effectively scale growth opportunities”.

Paul Keenan, chief executive Bauer UK and the Nordics said: “Rob Munro-Hall's experience leading Bauer's specialist and London Lifestyle business and managing magazine businesses in the UK and Australia brings a wealth of knowledge and skill to our newly strengthened magazine media business.”

Munro-Hall said: “This is a significant time for Bauer Media UK as a unique multi-media content creator and I’m excited by the opportunity to accelerate the growth, development and operational performance across all of our influential brands”.
