CMT announces 'Dude Perfect’ premiere date and trailer at upfront
Viacom’s Kids and Family Group help their upfront yesterday in NYC. President Cyma Zarghami kicked off the event explaining that the Group just had it's first birthday and had an impressive slate of new and returning content to present.
CMT, one of the Group's main networks, announced a show in September with YouTube sensation sports group Dude Perfect (over 1 billion views) as part of their announcement to double original content. The highly anticipated trailer and premiere date (Thursday, April 14th at 9pm ET/PT) were announced at the upfront yesterday.
This is an important move for CMT as they continue to brand themselves more broadly and embrace viral content on the web. Even if you're not a sports fan or have never seen Dude Perfect, the trailer will both captivate you and make you realize that CMT has gone way beyond country music.
