New sportswear brand Zakti appoints House PR to launch task
Zakti, the new sportswear brand launched by the founder of Mountain Warehouse, has appointed House PR for its launch campaign.
The agency was selected without a pitch to launch the brand, following its work on Mountain Warehouse. Its task is to build awareness amongst 'female active urbanites'. The brand launch in November 2015, and House PR was briefed for an initial plan of three months, however the scope has now been extended.
Mark Neale, founder of Mountain Warehouse and Zakti, said “We have been so impressed with the work undertaken on Mountain Warehouse over the past two years, that it was an easy decision to ask House PR to launch our newest venture.”
Ginny Paton, managing director at House PR, said; “Sportswear is an exciting, fast-moving sector of the market and we’re delighted to be launching the Zakti range into it. I’m sure it will quickly find its place in the hearts and on the bodies of our female urbanites”.
The project began with the launch of the new Zakti stores in Islington and Chiswick; inviting national and regional press to experience the womenswear range which is made up of 350 products, including gym, cycling and yoga wear. A range expansion and new menswear line is due in 2016, which House PR will also be undertaking.
The Zakti brand name derives from an ancient word meaning positive energy, strength, power and potential. Zakti prides itself on offering beautiful fitness gear, at affordable prices and Zakti’s team of dedicated designers strive to make the technical, beautiful by using carefully chosen performance fabrics that allow customers to look as good as they feel.
Zakti has also hired Jenny Bianco, previously head of marketing at Panache Lingerie to spearhead the brand expansion.
