MEC has poached iProspect’s head of SEO strategy Jeremy McDonald to bolster its organic performance team as it quickens efforts to expand its content planning and activation offering.

MEC Organic Performance is a content-led business within the agency and McDonald’s business director role sees him help steer how it fits with its wider bought, owned and earned services. He reports to Ben McKay, managing director of MEC Organic Performance.

At iProspect, McDonald led the integration of owned media across multiple channels for clients.

Of his appointment, McDonald said: “I’m thrilled to be joining MEC at such an exciting time for the business. The passion of the team, the culture and the investment in the business makes MEC a unique and market leading proposition. I’m looking forward to continuing this excellent work by helping to define the approach to organic performance in order to drive increasing online visibility and performance for our clients.”
