Dermot O’Leary appointed contributing editor of British GQ

Dylan Jones, editor of GQ announced today (11th January) that radio and tv personality Dermot O’Leary is joining British GQ as a contributing editor.

O’Leary has appeared in the magazine for several years, debuting as writer for GQ in 2015 and acting as an ambassador for London Collections Men.

On his appointment, O'Leary commented: "As an long time avid reader of GQ, I'm delighted and humbled to be joining the team as Contributing Editor. I’m really looking forward to more writing, interviewing some unique people and supporting more LCM events."

O’Leary is an ambassador for the British Fashion Council and host of his own Radio 2 show. His first career break came as part of the original presenting line-up of Channel 4's T4 strand, going on to host ITV’s The X Factor, a position he held for eight series between 2007 and 2014.

He will be hosting the National Television Awards on the 20th January, and fronting a BBC1 entertainment show Getaway Car, which launches later this month.

British GQ is the number one men’s lifestyle multi-platform media brand, and the recipient of 56 major awards, including Dylan Jones named as PPA Editor of the Year in 2014, and Paul Solomons awarded Digital Art Director in the 2014 BSMEs and Designer of the Year in the Digital Magazine Awards.
