Dazed Media has promoted Thomas Gorton to editor of dazeddigital.com.
Gorton joined Dazed Media in March 2014 as a news writer before becoming news editor and then deputy online editor.
He will continue to write and commission for the website, and will be taking on responsibility of editorial strategy and direction. Gorton will be tasked with increasing the reach of Dazed Media's digital channels, with a specific focus on expanding and sharpening its investigative lens on all aspects of youth culture - art, fashion, music and social issues.
On his promotion, Gorton said "I'm proud to be the editor of the best youth culture website in the world and just excited to see where I can take it next."
Gorton's promotion marks further expansion and investment at Dazed Media, following the hire of CCO Will Hayward last year and the creation of Dazed Media Studio in November.

The new hire comes as Dazed Media focuses its attention on international expansion. In September Dazed Group restructured its publishing business to become Dazed Media with the aim of working more closely with advertisers to create content.
