Kitbag and Absolute team up Manchester City players for ‘northern’ Christmas campaign

Online sports retailer Kitbag has formed a creative partnership with integrated agency Absolute to create a Christmas campaign for Barclay’s Premier League football club Manchester City.

The photography-based campaign centres on an image of some of the club’s biggest players in festive jumpers, enjoying a typically ‘northern’ Christmas dinner. The images were shot alongside Manchester City’s senior club photographer, Sharon Latham, while Absolute also handled the set build, art direction and the final post-production of the images, along with the editing of a behind-the-scenes video of the day.

Absolute managing director Chris Hodgen said: “Working alongside Kitbag with one of the country’s most popular football teams was a great victory for Absolute. When Kitbag approached us with their ideas for a Christmas photo shoot with Manchester City’s footballers, they knew we would deliver in what was a very short space of time. We had great fun with this project, which demonstrated the versatility of our multipurpose studio.”

The campaign features in the MCFC Megastore window at the Etihad Stadium and is being used as the Club’s corporate Christmas card, as well as being published across the club’s social media channels.
