Spotify has promoted vice president of North American ad sales Brian Benedik to the newly created role of global head of advertising sales.
The music streaming firm has charged Benedik with directing the sales strategy and organisation across Spotify’s 58 markets.
Jeff Levick, chief revenue officer of Spotify, said: “As Spotify’s ad supported free tier has grown exponentially over the past few years and it’s become clear that the business needed a full time, world class leader. I’m thrilled Brian is stepping into the role.
“His deep understanding of how music connects our millennial audience to brands builds on our momentum in the streaming media space.”
Prior to Spotify Brian served as President of Katz 360, the digital division of Clear Channel-owned Katz Media.
