Tourism nonprofit Visit Seattle has launched an intricate video campaign that features a number of travelers from across the country as they each chronicle their first trip to Seattle.

Called ‘First Takes,’ the ten videos will live online at Visit Seattle TV and on YouTube. In the videos, travelers from all different backgrounds – one is a former opera singer who used to sing professionally in Germany and Austria, another is a blogger from Oklahoma – discuss their favorite parts of the city.

Visit Seattle is also rolling out an eight-episode series called ‘Sounds by the Sound’ later this month in partnership with P. Diddy’s cable network Revolt TV that will explore the city’s music scene. It will also be available online.

Created in partnership with Publicis Seattle, the agency said the idea for the branded content campaign stemmed from the fact that online video is increasingly becoming a bigger part of travel.

Views of travel-related videos on YouTube have more than doubled in the past year, with the majority of them being branded or professionally released, according to the agency.
