Manchester City 360 degree VR tunnel cam lets fans accompany their team on matchday

Manchester City are giving fans the chance to walk down the Etihad Stadium tunnel with the players thanks to the introduction of a 360 degree camera.

Becoming the first football team to install a 360 camera in its tunnel, Manchester City’s footage can now be manipulated by YouTube viewers adding extra behind-the-scenes content to matchdays.

The club claim the feature will allow fans to view “the unseen pre-pitch handshakes and greetings before the game and the reactions of the two teams when they return to the changing rooms at half-time and full-time,” at their leisure.

Fans can interact with the footage through the iOS and Android YouTube apps – or on desktop via their web browswer.

The exclusive footage of Manchester City’s 3-0 victory over Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium, can be viewed and explored below.
