Straight mag's Angela Merkel lesbian kiss protest ad goes viral
A short inflammatory video from lesbian magazine 'Straight' has received mass engagement on social media after it aired fake footage of Angela Merkel kissing her female lover to protest her stance against gay marriage.
Straight magazine adopted a convincing lookalike to portray the German chancellor in the video, which debuted earlier this month. To date, the post has been viewed over 1.5 million times across Facebook and Twitter.
The post was issued in response to Merkel's recent comments that "marriage is the living together of man and woman". A background voice puts forward a fact that "62 per cent of Germans are in favour of same-sex marriage".

The tweet reads: "All of Europe hates Merkel? Yes, except for this woman," according to NBC News.
The ad comes one week after a number of top female politicians including Merkel were targeted on the front cover of the New Statesman for their apparent lack of children.
