From the NBA and NHL Finals to Pretty Little Liars and Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, fans had much to tweet about last week.

When it comes to Twitter and TV, the quantity of tweets isn’t the only thing worth considering. It is also important to look at how people are reacting and why they are responding in certain ways.

Each week, we will present an infographic courtesy of Canvs, the only qualitative social TV solution, to identify how social TV viewers reacted to the week that was.

Below, some stats from last week followed by an infographic:

  • Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Thursday dominated Twitter reactions this week, accounting for 28 per cent of total reactions in the period we measured.
  • The Season 6 premiere of Pretty Little Liars came in second, accounting for 7 per cent of the week’s reactions.
  • This week’s Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta dominated many of the emotions we tracked. It inspired the highest volume of non-NBA reactions expressing annoying, dislike, fake, and ugly.
