Two Bond aficionados, Paul Joseph and Tim Benzie, have taken their love for the series to another level by editing themselves, on a shoe-string budget, into a merry jaunt through every film in the long running franchise.

Managing to be both funny and clever ‘It’s got to be Bassey’ makes the case for the veteran Welsh singer to pump out the vocals for Spectre, the 24th film in the series, by making a direct appeal to each incarnation of Bond in turn.

To build momentum behind their effort the pair are inviting supporters to back their #itsgottobebassey Facebook campaign to persuade Eon Productions to hire the star, winning support from as far afield as Holland where Dutch TV ran a piece on the initiative.

This culminated in the guardian naming the piece as their latest viral video of the week.
