AOL chief, Tim Armstrong has already taken advantage of Twitter’s new live-streaming app, Periscope, by using it for a company-wide meeting.

The app was launched just last week and is meant to be used predominantly with smartphone cameras.

According to Business Insider, Armstrong asked all employees to download the Periscope earlier today, and then proceeded to stream his talking points from AOL headquarters.

It seems employees enjoyed the experience, as Armstrong received 2,261 hearts – the equivalent of favorites on Twitter.

The downside of using Periscope for such purposes, however, is that streams are not private and are visible to all app users, not just invitees.
