BMW's 'back-seat driver' campaign proves that third row seating is best place for out-of-line grandmas
BMW has rolled out a “Back-Seat Driver” campaign to promote its X5 model's third-row seating.
The ads feature an inappropriate grandmother as she talks about the olden days while sitting in the third row of her son’s car.
While the “Back-Seat Driver” campaign aims to prove that the BMW X5’s third row seating is the best place for annoying back-seat drivers, the three spots also show off additional features of the car including its moon-roof, leather seating, and head-up display.
Each feature helps provoke the grandmother into one of her exaggerated diatribes.
KBS produced the spots – “Leather,” “Moon Roof,” and “Heads Up” under its new co-chief creative officers Dan Kelleher and Jonathan Mackler.
