Digital Cinema Media (DCM) has partnered with BAFTA to promote Sunday's awards presentation through its Cinime app.

Users of Cinime will be able to unlock BAFTA content, watch the official awards trailer, enter a competition to win a BAFTA Nominee Gift Bag and vote for the EE Rising Star award via the app this weekend.

"The awards season is arguably the best time of the year for cinema and the BAFTAs are one of the biggest events in the international film calendar. It's fantastic to be able to engage our audiences and further promote the renowned EE British Academy Film Awards through our Cinime app," commented Karen Stacey, chief executive officer, DCM.

Natalie Moss, senior partnerships manager, BAFTA, added: "We're always looking for innovative ways to reach more audiences and we're thrilled to be able to target and engage avid cinemagoers through DCM's Cinime app, further promoting this year's event that will be aired on the BBC this weekend."

Cinime has on average 100,000 active users per month, with nearly 700,000 downloads in the UK to date.
