Research from on-site and email remarketing specialist SaleCycle has revealed than more than 80 percent of online travel shoppers have abandoned online bookings.

Joanne Liu, marketing manager APJ at SaleCycle, said: “While there are loads of studies exploring why people abandon their shopping carts, there had been little done to research the online booking behaviour of consumers on travel sites. 1,000 responses later (it’s amazing what the prospect of winning a pair of Beats Headphones will do!) and we have some solid insights on the reasons for booking abandonment and how travel companies can improve the online booking journey."
