Snapchat’s chief executive has reacted furiously to the latest leaks from the now infamous Sony Pictures hack after the apps acquisitions and business plans were posted onto the net for all to see.

Reacting to the leak an impassioned Evan Spiegel said he felt ‘violated and exposed’ by the leak, noting that secrecy was of paramount importance to a company like Snapchat.

Spiegel wrote: “I’ve been feeling a lot of things since our business plans were made public last night. Definitely angry. Definitely devastated. I felt like I was going to cry all morning, so I went on a walk and thought through a couple of things. I even ran into one of my high school design teachers. She gave me a huge hug. I really needed it.”

The intervention has further fuelled a debate on journalistic ethics and whether it is right to report on information which has been obtained illegally.
