First Great Western has partnered with Blackjack Promotions to bring back a giant interactive snowglobe to Paddington station.

The globe allows for dramatic festive pictures

The fixture will be erected on 15 December for a period of three days where consumers will be able to have their picture taken in the globe. They will also be able to order specially printed post cards of the experience.

To enter the event, individuals must fill in a digital form, accepting the First Great Western newsletter as part of a data capturing drive.

Katie Pacifici, senior account manager of Blackjack Promotions, said: “Following the success of last year’s First Great Western snowglobe – whereby we ended up extending the campaign by another day – I’m delighted that First Great Western are back on board again this year.

“We’ve upped the game slightly this time around by adding a new social element and we look forward to seeing plenty of sharing activity on Facebook and Twitter.”

Jamie Anderson, campaigns manager at First Great Western, added; "We wanted to encapsulate the spirit of Christmas and share that with rail users.

"This massive snow globe allows us to spend time with our passengers in a fun environment, treating them as individuals, and allowing them the opportunity to feature in their very own Christmas card."

Participants will be encouraged to share their experience on social media channels using the official hashtag #FGWSnowGlobe.
