STIHL GB, a leading producer of gardening power tools, has appointed BWP Group as their lead marketing agency.

The agency has been awarded a three year contract with a value of £10 million after impressing the STIHL GB management teams during the five-way competitive pitch process. The strategy being implemented by BWP Group aims to drive engagement and sales through the 700+ STIHL GB approved dealer outlets throughout Great Britain.

Simon Hewitt, head of marketing for STIHL GB, said: “STIHL’s heritage in the professional sector combined with rapid recent growth in the premium consumer market means we need an agency who natively understands both digital and traditional communication channels. BWP’s ability to engage audiences across B2C, retail and professional sectors make them the ideal partner for STIHL GB.”

Richard Beasley, chief executive officer at BWP Group, said: “We are delighted to be working with STIHL GB across the whole marketing mix. Our approach will look to drive a significant increase in brand awareness, setting them apart from the competition, while delivering a strong commercial return.”

STIHL GB offers a wide range of products including chainsaws, pole pruners, brushcutters, hedge trimmers, blowers, sweepers, pressure washers, cut-off saws and (under its VIKING brand) lawnmowers, as well as fuels, oils and accessories.
