Popchips names Aesop as first UK ad agency

Popchips, the American snack brand, has appointed Aesop as its first UK-based ad shop.

Appointed following a pitch against agencies such as The Corner and Hatched, Aesop will now create an above-the-line print campaign.

Will Bowler, Popchips UK general manager, said that Aesop was chosen because of: “Great chemistry, very collaborative approach and cracking ideas,” adding: “We’re confident Aesop will deliver exciting, memorable creative which tells the Popchips story.”

“We’re excited to be working with Popchips” added Roger Hart, chief executive at Aesop. “They have a great story to tell and we’re thrilled that they’ve chosen us to tell it.”

The potato chip brand launched in the UK in March 2012.
