Global PR for NBC Universal's Downton Abbey app to be handled by Manifest London
NBC Universal has appointed Manifest London to coordinate the global PR launch of its Downton Abbey app which allows fans to relive their favourite one-liners from the show.
Senior vice-president brand management and commercial at NBC Universal International Television Production, Dominic Burns, said the agency was “already doing a great job at driving awareness of the new Downton Abbey app”.
He added: “Their [Manifest London] enthusiasm and creativity, matched with their understanding of how to market a smartphone app makes them the perfect partner for the launch.”
Alex Myers, director at Manifest London, commented: “Downton Abbey is an international phenomenon and it’s amazing to be working with such a prestigious brand loved across the globe. The app is an awesome experience for Downton fans, and everyone in the Manifest office has been quoting Downtonisms for weeks.”
Manifest is handling international press office support for the launch of the app which contains more than 160 sound clips from the cast. Additionally the agency is also charged with the creating a comprehensive review programme and a creative press event to bring the app to life.
