Topps Tiles has recruited Location Location Loction’s Phil Spencer to front a new advertising campaign designed to inspire homeowners to fall in love with their homes again over winter.

The 30 second TV advert will run from early October with high profile spots on ITV, Channel 4 and Sky 1 during shows such as Downton Abbey, the X Factor, Homeland, Grand Designs and Spencer’s own Location Location Location.

Robin Auld, the new head of marketing at Topps Tiles who joined the business in September, said Spencer’s “expertise of helping people find their perfect property match” and knowledge of “exactly what makes homebuyers fall in love with a home” made him the perfect match for the brand.

He added: “The new campaign highlights our current ‘up to a third off’ promotion and is timed to tap into the pre-Christmas sales peak where we see homeowners rush to ‘revamp and refresh’ their homes in time for the festive period.”

In addition to voicing the ad Spencer will be working with the tile and flooring specialists as a brand ambassador, reinforcing the importance of tiles when it comes to interiors.
