Goals' five-a-side organisation app to replace drop outs and take digital pitch payments
Five-a-side football firm Goals Soccer Centres has released an app to streamline the pitch booking process and help organisers replace last minute drop outs with the click of a button.

The free app is currently available only on iOS but will be rolled out on other mobile platforms later this year.
The LA-based firm which has expanded into the UK market in recent years, opening 44 branches, said the app will combat the three main reasons for pitch cancelations.
Using the service, team leaders are able to invite, select and manage players, with participants also able to digitally pay match fees directly to Goal.
Additionally, the ‘player blast’ feature enables organisers to replace last minute drop outs by scanning the team pool, Facebook and the local Goal network to find players who are broadcasting themselves as ‘up for a game’ through the app.
Furthermore, pitches can be booked through the service and five-a-side fixtures and results will be posted on a regular basis.
The Goals board on Wednesday said in a financial report that it expects the app to increase revenue significantly by reducing the amount of canceled matches.
It added: “Our marketing strategy is aimed at getting more people playing football more often in the knowledge that one additional game per branch, per day can add £0.8m [untaxed revenue].”
Keith Rogers, managing director of Goals, said: “Our mid-year results are encouraging with sales and profit improvement across the estate and well advanced plans to deliver two new centres in 2014 and three in 2015.
“I am confident Goals now has the team, processes, strategy, funding and pipeline in place to accelerate long term growth for its shareholders."
Goals claims to have a 42 per cent stake in the UK’s branded five-a-side football hosting over 100,000 players weekly.
