WPP's Possible acquires US mobile developer Double Encore as it continues digital drive

Possible has acquired US mobile app producer Double Encore for an undisclosed sum, as parent company WPP continues its drive in investing in the mobile and digital sector.

The Denver-based company, which employs 55 people, produces iOS and Android apps for brands such as Major League Soccer, JetBlue and PGA Tour.

Double Encore's unaudited revenues for the period ended 31 December 2013 were $8m with gross assets of $2.6m in the same period.

WPP has set a target of 40-45 per cent of revenue to be derived from digital in the next five years.

Possible is part of WPP Digital, which develops new digital services, provides common data and technology platforms for WPP clients and agencies and coordinates relationships with digital media and technology companies.
