VisitEngland has partnered with the QI Elves – the brains behind BBC’s QI quiz show – on its ‘No Such Thing As A Fish’ Factball podcast series.
The ‘truly native’ deal was negotiated by MediaCom and taps into both brands’ fact-hungry audiences.
John Lloyd, producer of the show, said: “The QI Elves and I are delighted to have paired up with VisitEngland on this project. Our two companies work towards the same goal – for us that's interesting facts, and with VisitEngland it's these wonderful places that exist in our own country. So there's been a lot of enthusiasm and mutual understanding from the outset.”
The QI Elves podcast launched four months ago and has already picked up more than 400,000 subscribers and 1.7 millions listens on SoundCloud. The International Factball (a World Cup special) podcast has amassed more than 46,000 listens so far. VisitEngland is mentioned in three separate section per episode.
