BMW UK has selected FCB Inferno to handle its integrated marketing services, marking the end of a relationship with the Engine Group, which has seen WCRS produce work for the car marque since 1979.

FCB Inferno will take over the account from 1 August.

Uwe Dreher, BMW UK marketing director, said: “EngineDare has been an outstanding partner for BMW, and has made a huge and valuable contribution to our business over the years. We wish the company the very best for the future.”

Simon Peck, partner, Engine, added: “EngineDare is incredibly proud of the work that it has done for BMW, right from WCRS’ first ad for the brand in 1979 to the latest i3 launch campaign. It’s been the ultimate driving relationship and we’re sad to be parting ways. We wish them the very best of luck in the future.”

The incumbents for media (Vizeum), dealer marketing (HPS) and sponsorship marketing (Engine’s Synergy) are unaffected by the change.
