Unruly, the platform for social video marketing, is set to open a regional HQ in Singapore to cement its growth into the Asia Pacific market.

With the office set to officially open on 7 April, Unruly is planning to follow up the Singapore launch with further expansion in key Asia Pacific markets over the next 12 months.

“Singapore is a hub for the creative industry, offering a wealth of talented people, world-class infrastructure and access to rapidly growing markets,” explained Scott Button, founder and CEO at Unruly. “It’s the cornerstone of our rapid expansion plan in Asia.”

The Singapore office will be managed by Phil Townend, who previously held the role of EMEA MD. His new title will be Unruly APAC MD.

“Many large brands are headquartered in Asia and it’s a massive growth market for many advertisers. I’m delighted to be given the opportunity to help brands take advantage of the exclusive reach and engagement which social video offers,” Townend said.

“Forty per cent of internet users are situated in Asia Pacific and video is the fastest growing ad format worldwide. This means there is a massive opportunity for social video to grow exponentially in the region.”

Unruly currently has 12 offices around the world, including London, New York, San Francisco, Hamburg and Paris.
