Jean Lin has been named global CEO of Isobar, taking over control of the network from Mark Cranmer who is set to depart in June this year.

Lin, who was global chief strategy officer & CEO of Isobar Asia Pacific, has assumed the role from her Shanghai office with immediate effect.

She reports directly to Jerry Buhlmann, CEO Dentsu Aegis Network who said: “Jean is one of our most talented leaders and I am delighted to appoint her to the role of global CEO Isobar.

“Jean’s appointment is the natural next step, having made stunning progress in developing her own business, and then Isobar, across Taiwan, China and the Asia Pacific region. Jean will bring her own creative talent, integrity and energy to the role and I know has ambitious plans for Isobar going forward.”

Previous global CEO Mark Cranmer, who was recently appointed to the role of chairman of Isobar, is to support Lin in the first months of her role, ensuring continuity and a smooth transition before leaving at the end of June 2014.

“Mark has served the company brilliantly for five years and made an enormous contribution to many parts of the business, not least in building Isobar into the competitive network within Dentsu Aegis Network that it is today. We wish Mark all the best for the future,” added Buhlmann.
