New online jobs board City Calling has appointed Total Media to handle SEO and PCC launch activity.

In the new account, set to start Monday 17 March, Total Media will grow awareness around the job board's unique features and benefits in the recruitment processes for both the applicant and the employer.

Paul David Munnelly, CEO at City Calling said of Total Media’s appointment: “Being an online business and a new market entrant means that having a first rate SEO strategy is imperative to our success. We’re delighted to be working with Total Media, whose SEO expertise means the City Calling website will be more discoverable with fully optimised content, providing us with a more cost effective way of securing cheaper costs by acquisition.”

The jobs board looks to provide both employers and jobseekers with recruitment services.

Yesmin Celis, head of SEO at Total Media said: “Because City Calling is a new market entrant with a fresh recruitment concept, the initial SEO challenge lies in the fact that there isn’t precedent for the nature of keywords searched for. Keywords that are good for standard job boards are not necessarily transferrable for the City Calling service. We will need to be flexible and test different copy and keywords to see what is most effective, and PPC will aid in this.”
