Rowntree’s appoints JWT London to handle digital for the UK

Nestlé has appointed JWT London to handle all the digital business for Rowntree’s in the UK, beginning this spring.

JWT currently works on other parts of the Nestle range, including KitKat, Aero and Quality Street.

Jon Lambert, group marketing director at Nestlé UK & Ireland, said of the appointment: “Brilliant digital advertising is of huge importance to our brands and their consumers. JWT have produced excellent work for our other Nestlé brands, such as Aero and KitKat that we felt more than confident awarding the remainder of our major digital business to them.”

Appointed following a competitive pitch between five agencies, JWT London will look to put the Rowntree’s range of sweets, including Fruit Pastilles and Jelly Tots, back into the heart and minds of the nation.

James Whitehead, executive partner at JWT London, added: “This latest win consolidates Nestlé’s business into JWT and is a further demonstration of the excellent relationship JWT has with Nestlé, a partnership we are very proud of.”
