Powwownow is continuing to promote itself as the smarter alternative to business travel in a new TV ad, which sees a father ask his daughter the loaded question ‘Who’s Uncle Mike?’.

The question comes after the child tells her father “Mummy says you love work more than you love her”, according to a conversation with the mystery man.

This follows a series of poster ads introducing a businessman who claimed to like ‘his coats mink, truffles white, and secretaries Swedish’ and another who was accused of penny-pinching ‘but paid Penny off’.

Robert Gorby, marketing director at Powwownow, said: “This TV advert for Powwownow is our first foray into television advertising. We wanted to show the impact that travelling for business can have on family life at home, in a media consumed in the home and that there are smarter, more practical ways to do business.”

Produced by The Refinery, the ad will run for four weeks, on channels such as ITV4, Dave, Fox, Yesterday, Sky Sports 2, Gold, Sky Atlantic and Sky News.
