Direct marketing campaigns' place in cross media strategies under spotlight at inaugural Cross Media Production event next month

Direct marketing will be in the spotlight at the inaugural Cross Media Production event in London next month with an exploration of how direct marketing campaigns are enhancing how brands engage with customers through new cross media strategies and technologies.

Speakers at the event include Gary Howard from Tangent Snowball, Gavin Wheeler from WDMP, Andy Barber from UK Mail, Peter Lancaster from documobi, Tony Hodgson from PODi and Marian Stefani from Flyte Associates/Multi Channel Machine.

The event, taking place alongside Ipex 2014 at the ExCeL in London between 25 and 27 March, will host presentations and panel discussions examining the benefits of combining direct marketing with cross-channel campaign and looking at how market service providers are developing solution that deliver targeted marketing communications, data management and ROI for brands.

Andrew Thornhill, marketing manager at Cross Media Production 2014, said: “A selection of the most successful exponent’s operating in the direct marketing sector will provide leading insights into delivering campaigns across print, digital and mobile.

“Sessions within the 121 Digital, Data & Direct Marketing Theatre will look at the strategies, the creative processes, the production challenges and of course, the final delivery of eye-catching cross media campaigns.

“Visitors will learn why direct marketing campaigns that utilise multiple communications channels are making such a tangible difference to the way brands connect and interact with their target markets. Importantly, they will receive the tools and knowledge to mirror and emulate these speakers’ successes.”

In addition, founding director of social media company The Social Shop, Marc Shelkin – who carried out a stream of popular high profile interviews during his time at recruitment agency Twist or Stick – will be speaking to Ian Bates, creative director from DMA Agencies Council; Jason Cromack, CEO at DST; Gavin Wheeler, CEO at WDMP; Jo Coombs, managing director of Ogilvy One London; and Ian Millner, joint global chief executive at Iris Worldwide.

Deputy managing director at Howard Hunt, Lucy Edwards, will bring insights from the company’s work with brands such as Superdrug, Boden and Help for Heroes.
