Indica has announced the appointment of Andy Barwood, previously creative partner at Karmarama, as creative director. Andy Barwood will sit on the Indicia board, reporting into Julie Atherton, chief strategy officer, and will handle accounts for names such as Glenmorangie, Tourism Ireland, Nissan, JD Wetherspoon and Very.co.uk.

Dropbox, the cloud storage company, has anointed Motorola Mobility’s CEO Dennis Woodside to its team. Woodside will become the first chief operating officer for Dropbox, while Jonathan Rosenberg, formerly head of product management at Google, will take over Woodside’s role at Motorola Mobility.

Connect Advertising and Marketing has named Neil Burrows as its new business development director as part of the agency’s plans to expand its client base into the automotive and travel sectors. Burrows has a predominantly automotive background, having served as head of marketing and PR at Audi UK; general manager, brand management and communications, at Nissan Europe; group marketing director at Goodyear Dunlop; and, most recently, group sales and marketing director at Paragon Automotive Group.

Yahoo’s new UK managing director Stuart Flint is jumping ship to Microsoft just days after being appointed to the top Yahoo role. He joins Microsoft’s UK operation as UK sales director. Flint will replace Simon Davies, who is relocating to Santa Monica in the US to take on the role of general manager, West Cost, Microsoft advertising online.

Tealium, the tag management solutions provider, has appointed Tracy Hansen as chief marketing officer. Hansen joins from CA Technologies, where she held the role of senior vice president of marketing and helped build the company’s brand vision and re-position itself in the marketplace.

Nomads has hired former Proctor & Gamble global digital marketing manager Luigi Matrone as its new global business director. Matrone also acted as a digital marketing consultant and trainer at P&G, a current client of Nomads, and worked across brands including Oral-B, Duracell and Iams.

Candy Crush Saga maker King has hired Nicki Sheard from the BBC as VP brand marketing. Previously head of marketing for BBC radio, Sheard will be responsible at King for leading all above the line marketing, licensing and merchandising, player insight and social media for games such as Candy Crush and Farm Heroes Saga.

Adjust Your Set has hired ex-JWT board planning director Harvey Cossell to the newly created role of planning director, with immediate effect. In his new role, Cossell will work across the agency’s key accounts including Barclaycard, Spotify, Marks & Spencer and Carphone Warehouse.

Zurich UK Life has appointed Sarah Hatcher as head of retail marketing, where she will handle the planning, management and execution of Zurich’s retail marketing strategy. Joining from the role of head of marketing at AXA Wealth's Architas business, Hatcher will handle the wealth and protection sectors.

Moshi Monsters publisher Mind Candy has appointed LoveFilm founder Saul Klein to its board in a bid to halt a decline in numbers at the hit children’s website.

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has announced the appointment of Kirsten Stagg as head of marketing, from her previous role as national communications manager at Volkswagen Passenger Cars.

Facebook has appointed Deborah Hale as business marketing director, EMEA. She was previously managing director of marketing agency London Unlimited.

Big Communications has appointed Ross Faulkner to its senior team as strategy and planning partner, where he will work with both existing clients and new business prospects. Faulkner was most recently at ITV heading up strategy for the Creative Works commercial team, and prior to this has held senior positions with Coca-Cola, OMD and Naked.

Co-founder and creative partner of The Red Brick Road, Jason Lawes, has moved to M&C Saatchi undertaking the role of creative director. Lawes will work with M&C Saatchi’s Mark Goodwin and well as Elspeth Lynn, ECD; Grant Parker, head of art; and head of brand integration, Paul Hogarth, tasked with leading the agency’s creative output across its entire client portfolio.
