The Brit Awards selects Somethin' Else to handle its digital strategy for 2014

The Brit Awards has announced that content design and creation company Somethin’ Else is to head up its digital strategy for 2014.

The agency has now been tasked with producing all of the Brit’s online video content which will be hosted on YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and the official BRIT Awards site. Content will include interviews and backstage gossip as well as artist sessions and behind the scenes and red carpet photos.

“We are delighted to be working with Somethin' Else as we continue to grow our digital offering for The Brits. This year will see a number of exciting initiatives that will ensure the best possible digital experience for fans and viewers alike,” said Giuseppe De Cristofano, BPI digital and technology manager.

Somethin’ Else MD Steve Ackerman, added: “We are passionate about helping the Brit Awards to drive their digital presence forwards with a strategy that has original content at its heart.”

The account was won following a competitive pitch against a number of agencies. Somethin’ Else has also been briefed to handle the show’s social media strategy, delivering fan engagement across Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Vine and Istagram.
