Realise has announced the appointment of Justin Small to the newly created role of head of strategy and UX.

The appointment of Small, previously head of digital strategy at Detica, strengthens and expands Realise’s existing business unit of UX and strategy practitioners.

He said: “The Realise team have a disciplined approach to driving the business forward and apply themselves with real determination. That kind of energy and commitment is infectious – I had to be part of it.

“Digital transformation, analytics and digital brand strategy are the three key areas in which all digital/creative agencies need to build practice expertise if they want to compete in the marketplace in future. Realise are already ahead of the game with their technology heritage and award-winning creative teams.”

Small has previously worked for brands such as PlayStation, Bupa, Transport for London, Visa and Vodafone, and in his new role he plans to make Realise the digital power house of choice for large organisations, well known brands and businesses committed to digital as a channel for change.

Fiona Proudler, managing director of the agency, added: “Key to the success of Realise as an agency over the past five years has been in the hiring of the best calibre staff around and in this respect Justin perfectly adds to the Realise family – a digital expert with a solid track record in delivering digital transformation for blue chip clients.”

Small joins the agency’s London team based in Farringdon.
