Global Radio has launched the first ad campaign for Capital Xtra, its new urban dance music station which replaced long-running Choice FM earlier this year,

The ad from WCRS follows a young urbanite on a journey to discover new music in a secret underground location, aiming to show how Capital Xtra will help music fans find music trends first and stay ahead of the curve.

“Capital Xtra is the UK’s first national commercial urban dance station. This campaign reinforces what the brand is all about, helping our listeners find new music first with Capital Xtra,” explained Giles Pearman, group marketing director at Global.

The campaign is set to run for four weeks during November and December on Video On Demand.
