Telegraph Media Group names Denise Parkinson global and UK entertainment director
Telegraph Media Group has appointed former Yahoo director, Denise Parkinson, to the newly created position of global and UK entertainment director.
Reporting directly to Melanie Danks, she has become responsible for the whole entertainment sector; producing quality content deals and helping to bring new products to market both in the UK and internationally
Danks said: “I am delighted that Denise is joining TMG. She has a great track record and a high profile in the industry. It is an exciting time here at The Telegraph and Denise will be able to drive change. She is a great fit.”
Parkinson joins from Yahoo, where she had been entertainment director of global sales since 2010. There she worked on a brand portfolio including Yahoo products such as Search, Mail, Flickr, Answers and Original Premium content.
She will start the new role in January 2014.
