Sellotape to launch £1.5m Christmas TV ad campaign

Sellotape is set to launch a £1.5m TV campaign later this month with a ‘12 Days of Christmas’ theme.

The five-week campaign is being created by Brothers and Sisters and will star the newly-launched on-hand tape dispenser as a Christmas ‘hero’, enabling easier gift-wrapping over the 12 days of Christmas.

Helen Griffiths, brand manager, said: Christmas is a key sales period, approximately 30 per cent of all tape sales occur in November-December.

“This product has been developed to address a consumer need – to make it easier to wrap presents at Christmas while maintaining a great finish on their gifts.”

The five-week campaign will launch later this month, targeting the period between 22 November and December.
