BT will launch the next instalment of its advertising campaign series on Saturday, charting the trials and tribulations of Simon’s new girlfriend and his housemates.

The ad, called ‘Simon’s girlfriend takes control of the remote’ and created by AMV BBDO, will see the new character try to keep the peace as Simon annoys housemates trying to watch BT TV.

David James, marketing director for consumer at BT, said: “Simon finally has a girlfriend and what better way to demonstrate BT TV than through their very different TV viewing habits.”

The latest instalment will be shown first during the X-Factor on ITV and it will be supported by press and online advertising.
