VisitBritain has revealed its newly redesigned LoveWall UK tourism website.

Designed by Brand42 the new-look site, which has been fully redesigned, now includes an interactive map element and is fully responsive to give a rich experience across platforms.

The additional elements add to the original LoveWall site designed and developed by Brand42 last year. The developments aim to take the user beyond browsing by giving them control of their information gathering and storing process, with LoveWall now allowing users to ‘suitcase’ their favourite destinations, events and attractions, creating customised itineraries in the process which can then be shares across social media.

On top of the redesigned imagery and copy the site has also been translated into 11 core languages supported by VisitBritain.

Philip Taylor, head of marketing at VisitBritain, commented: “Through the LoveWall Brand42 have demonstrated a perfect mix of creativity and technology to deliver both an inspirational and informative experience. They understood our global audience, our unique challenges and importantly our vision. It was essential Brand42 also reflected our passion for Britain as well as focus on continuing to develop a world leading digital presence for VisitBritain.”

The LoveWall has been built as a future campaign platform for VisitBritain’s digital team and, as the API drives the content, it can be re-skinned to suit VisitBritain and its partner’s upcoming campaigns, such as the forthcoming Barclays Premiership partnership campaign.
